Look out Europe, here we come (yet again, lol)

It's less than twelve hours before we board our Singapore Airlines flight (I'm on a retainer from the company to promote them) from Tullamarine en route to Switzerland via a two night stopover in Singapore. This may well be our last Europe trip, as we have now covered a fair swath of the Continent. After a few days in Geneva it's over the border to France, staying at Lyon and Dijon, and then we travel back into Switzerland to visit Basel and Zurich. From there, it's into Germany to complete most of the places we missed last year, ending up in Berlin before returning home via another two nights in Singapore. In all, its about a 32-day trip, which should be achievable, even for me.

I've spent the last week or so readying the property to be left. Lots of raking, chipping and burning has cleared up the leaf litter from a very dry summer. The recent rain (not much really, but better than nothing), has even seen a flush of green grass in the paddocks, something we haven't seen in months. The weather at home has been to die for over the past few weeks, with perfectly clear skies, temperatures around 20 degrees and almost no wind. It almost makes you ask yourself why you would travel overseas with the capriciousness of European weather. Oh well, I guess the answer to that question only become obvious once you're actually there.

I'll hopefully complete a post every couple of days, with lots of photos to show you where we've been. Rest assured, wherever we go, we'll be missing you guys back home; you're never far from our thoughts.
